We will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Casablanca to start our 8-day tour. First, we will visit the Hassan II Mosque. Then, we continue to Rabat, the administrative capital, where we will visit the Hassan Tower. Finally, we will arrive in Fes for dinner and an overnight stay at a traditional Riad.
After breakfast, we will meet a local guide and spend most of the day exploring the Medina (old part of the city). This full-day guided tour will allow you to discover many historical sites such as the Jewish quarter, Royal Palace, old souks, and Tanneries.
Continuing our 8-day desert tour from Casablanca, we will depart around 08:30 am to the desert. We will pass through Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou, where wild monkeys are located. Later, we will continue to the desert via the Ziz Valley and Erfoud, known for marble fossils. We will drive to Merzouga through Rissani, a commercial place where many groups come to sell and buy goods. Finally, we will arrive at the desert.
Today, we will explore the Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga, where nomads still live. We will begin with a visit to the seasonal lake of Merzouga and Khamlia, known for traditional Gnawa music. Later, we will visit some deserted mines and an oasis of palm trees. After lunch, we will return to the guest house to ride camels into the sand dunes and discover the desert.
After taking memorable photos of the sunrise, we will return to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. Then, we will start our trip to the Dades Valley, passing through Erfoud, known for marble fossils, and Jorf, known for its irrigation system. Next, we will continue to the Todra Gorges, which contain one of the most impressive canyons, and then to the Dades Valley.
After breakfast, we will head towards Ouarzazate, passing through Berber villages built with mud. We will continue to Skoura, known for its palm trees. Next, we will visit Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” and explore the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Studios. Then, we will depart to Marrakech via the famous and well-preserved fortified kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987. Ait Ben Haddou has been the setting for famous movies such as “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” and the series “Game of Thrones.” Enjoy the views of the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N-Tichka pass as we arrive in Marrakech and drop you off at your accommodation.
At around 09:00 am, we will spend most of the day exploring the Medina (old part of the city) with a full-day guided tour. During this sightseeing tour, we will visit historical sites near Jemaa el Fna square, including El Koutoubia, Saadian Tombs, Menara, and Majorelle Garden.
