This 1 day trip from Marrakech to Ourika Valley takes you to one of the most stunning valleys in Morocco, known for its several waterfalls. Located about 30 km south of Marrakech, it’s around an hour’s drive from the city.
On the way to the High Atlas, we’ll drive through the plain of Haouz and follow the Ourika River, where water is abundant all year. During our day trip, we’ll visit a Berber family who will open their home to us, allowing us to discover their lifestyle, traditions, and local culture. We’ll also make several stops to take photos of the Berber villages located in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains.
Continuing through the valley, we’ll stop to visit a local co-op of Argan oil run by women from the region. Later, we’ll proceed to the village of Setti Fatma, about 1500 meters above sea level, where you’ll have the chance to explore the beautiful and charming village.
In Setti Fatma, we’ll discover its various cascades. After a hike, we’ll return to the village to enjoy a tasty traditional lunch in a local restaurant by the river.
