Day 2: Chefchaouen » Volubilis » Meknes » Fes [277 km]

After breakfast in the riad, our journey begins towards Volubilis, crossing via Ouazan and other Rif villages. After visiting the ruins, we will head to Meknes, a 17th-century heritage city, where we will stop for lunch and explore the historical walls of the medina, including Bab el Mansour and Moulay Ismail tomb. After visiting Meknes, we will drive directly to Fes for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Fes Sightseeing Tour with a Local Guide

Today, you will have a guided tour to discover the medina and the famous souks of Fes. Its narrow cobbled streets are filled with ancient mosques, towering green-glazed minarets, and unique Andalusian architecture. We will visit sites of cultural and historical interest, including Al Qaraouine University, the tanneries, and the ceramic cooperative. Overnight at a hotel/riad.

Day 4: Fes » Azrou Cedar Forest » Midelt » Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes) [469 km]

We will pick you up from your hotel/riad and drive south to Azrou via Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco) and then to the Middle Atlas mountains, stopping by the cedar forest to take fascinating photos with the Barbary Apes. Then, we will drive to Miffis Mines to explore their work before heading behind the dunes to a full desert with charming views, where we will have a warm cup of tea with the local Bedouins. After returning to the hotel, your local guides will teach you how to mount and dismount camels and other handy camel-related safety tips. Begin exploring the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi.
