Meet your guide at the Port or Airport to start your 10-day Morocco trip from Tangier to Marrakech. Cross the Rif Mountains and enjoy the wonderful views. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, you will have a free afternoon to explore this beautiful blue and white town. Overnight in a local Riad or Hotel.
Depart to Fes in the morning, passing through villages in the Rif Mountains. Visit the archaeological site of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to Meknes to see the famous gates of Bab el-Mansour and Moulay Ismail Tombs. After lunch, drive to Fes for an overnight stay in a local Riad in the Medina.
Explore the oldest city in Morocco. Walk through its alleys and small streets, visiting places like the Royal Palace gate and the Jewish quarter. Visit Al Karaouine University, the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. Overnight in the medina.
Pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort built by the French in the 1930s, and drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Enjoy the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages. Stop for lunch in Midelt, then continue to Merzouga via Ziz Valley and Erfoud. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon and stay in a local hotel near the dunes.
After breakfast, explore the area. Visit the Gnawa people in Khamlia village and learn about their music and lifestyle. Meet nomad families living under Berber tents. Enjoy a local meal (Berber pizza) for lunch. In the afternoon, take a camel ride to the camp in the middle of the highest sand dunes. Enjoy the sunset, dinner, and stargazing. Overnight in the camp.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise, then camel-trek back to the village. After breakfast and a shower, visit the Rissani Souk. Continue to Tinghir and Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch, drive through the Dades Valley to see the majestic sand castles and rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Overnight in a traditional guest house with dinner and breakfast.
Travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route offers numerous opportunities for photography. Meet Berber Nomads in their caves and enjoy the fertile Rose Valley. Stop at Kalaat M’gouna, “the rose city,” to purchase rosewater. Visit the Kasbah Amridil in Skoura. Arrive in Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa,” for an overnight stay in a local hotel or Riad.
Continue the journey to Marrakech, one of the four imperial cities in Morocco. Stop to visit or take pictures of the movie studios in Ouarzazate. Visit Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Pass the highest road pass in North Africa on the way to Marrakech. Arrive in the afternoon.
Your local guide will start the tour around 09 am, exploring the highlights of Marrakech, including Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, El Bahia Palace, Djemaa el Fna square, and its souk. After lunch, visit Majorelle Garden. Return to your hotel.
Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your 10-day Morocco trip from Tangier to Marrakech.
